Fusion 360 has a FEM analysis module that uses the NASTRAN computing kernel. This tool will allow you to perform many strength simulations, ranging from standard linear analysis to nonlinear or even thermal analyzes. The software is a cloud service, which makes it possible to calculate both locally on the computer and also using the “Cloud”. Already at the design stage, thanks to digital strength analyses, we have the opportunity to eliminate design errors and introduce time and cost savings during the prototyping process.

CLOUD CALCULATIONS
If we have an extensive model and apply a dense computational grid, we can perform “cloud computing” – that is on an Autodesk server farm. The advantage of this solution is the 5-fold acceleration of the calculation process. The security of files uploaded to the cloud is the same as the security of banking systems. Each analysis costs a certain amount of Cloud Credits. The cost of such analysis is independent of the file size and mesh density.
