Autodesk Construction Cloud – CDE platform from Autodesk
CDE [Common Data Environment] — a platform for data exchange, anytime, anywhere. This solution eliminates the lack of synchronization between project offices and different forms of file transfer and communication. The platform is a server that every design participant can access from design engineers to an investor.
The use of this solution allows, thanks to the improvement of the information flow, to significantly improve the design process. Control over design files reduces revisions and consequently, significantly reduces costs. Continuous access to full data enables you to make the best decisions at every stage of the building’s life cycle, from concept to design and execution to exploitation.
MAT provides and leads the implementation of Autodesk Construction Cloud CDE, which meets all the requirements of PN-ISO 19600:2019-03.
What is Autodesk Construction Cloud made of?
Autodesk Docs
The core of the CDE platform is a cloud-based exchange and control system for documentation and design files.
Autodesk Docs provides access to both Document Management functionality from the BIM 360 platform and Docs functionality on the Unified Platform.
Both of these options offer several possibilities to significantly speed up the design process by reducing errors and fixes, streamlining the review and approval process, and improving team synchronization.
Autodesk Docs is available as part of the AEC Collection or as a standalone 12 or 36-month program for a single user as well as in 10, 25, 100, 500 and 1000 packs. Unified Platform functionality is based on Bring your own Subscription (BYOS) (each license is mapped to a specific user who can then participate in cross-company projects) as opposed to the BIM 360 platform for which all licenses must be owned by the company running the project.
Key features of Autodesk Docs include:
Full document control: A flexible folder structure combined with extensive access control tools ensures that every file and information is accessible to the right people.
Supports 2D and 3D visualization: Quickly and easily view both 2D sheets and 3D models. The ability to crop the view, virtual walk, isolate or suppress individual elements will provide users with easy access to the information they need.
Versioning Files: Each time you save a file on a platform, you create a version of the file, including when the file was created, and the person who did it. Versions can be easily compared with each other by clearly tagging added, deleted, and changed items.
Document Approval System: The automated revision process directs files and documents directly to the people responsible for reviewing and approving them before publication and release.
Mark toolset: Communication and collaboration between teams is facilitated with different marker tools for both sheets and locked 3D views.
Integration with other Autodesk products: Easily connect to products such as Revit, Civil 3D and Plant 3D, significantly streamline the design process and minimize the risk of duplication.
Structured Error Tracking System: Centralized error and event surveillance allow individual project members to be more accountable for their assigned tasks. All of these records are available in one common list, along with their current status.
Desktop Connector: A tool that allows you to easily open, save, move, delete, or rename files from your desktop.
Create and track transfers: Easily create and share transfers to project teams with the ability to track a complete test history.
BIM Collaborate
A cloud-based tool for collaboration and coordination within a project. A data exchange platform for cross-industry models The BIM Collaboration has all Autodesk Docs functionality and allows you to create projects on the BIM 360 and Unified Platform. In both cases, the model coordination [former big 360 Glue] is also available to combine the work of multiple project teams.
BIM Collaborate Collaboration is available as a stand-alone 12 or 36-month program for a single user as well as in 10, 25, 100, 500 and 1000-piece packs. Unified Platform functionality is based on Bring your own Subscription (BYOS) (each license is mapped to a specific user who can then participate in cross-company projects) as opposed to the BIM 360 platform for which all licenses must be owned by the company running the project
In addition to the features available in Autodesk Docs BIM Collaboration, you can:
Create cross-industry coordination models: The ability to see the entire project or mix selected industries allows for a more complete assessment of the progress of the work
Automatic collision Detection: Potential collisions between industries are detected early in the project, allowing substantial savings.
Issue generation directly from detected collisions: An easy and intuitive collision management system that directs them directly to the responsible person
BIM Collaborate PRO
The highest level of design collaboration. Data exchange, coordination and winter running within the cloud.
BIM Collaborate PRO PRO is a tool that combines the capabilities of Autodesk Docs and the BIM Collaboration platform on both the BIM 360 and the Unified Platform to extend it to the concurrent functionality previously included in the BIM 360 Design.
The BIM Collaboration PRO is available as a stand-alone 12 or 36-month program for a single user as well as in 10, 25, 100, 500 and 1000-piece packs. Unified Platform functionality is based on Bring your own Subscription (BYOS) (each license is mapped to a specific user who can then participate in cross-company projects) as opposed to the BIM 360 platform for which all licenses must be owned by the company running the project. The exception is the Revit Cloud Worker service, which runs on both platforms based on BYOS
In addition to the features available in Autodesk Docs, BIM Collaborate and BIM Collaborate PRO, you can:
Collaborate in the cloud: Any team, with Revit Cloud Worksharing, Collaboration for Civil 3D and Collaboration for Plant 3D, can work on a cloud file at the same time. Make real-time changes to the model from anywhere with Internet access.
Structured inter-team exchange system: Each team creates packages that they want to share with other industries
Create a clear timeline: subsequent published versions of the model and packages shared with other teams are timestamped to track progress
